Introduced by Sens. Todd Young (R-IN) and Ben Cardin (D-MD) and Reps. Mike Kelly (R-PA) and Brian Higgins (D-NY), the Neighborhood Homes Investment Act (S. 657 and H.R. 3940) would spark investments for building and rehabilitating homes for low- and moderate-income homeowners, revitalizing distressed neighborhoods where Habitat works. This bipartisan bill is a top federal policy priority of the Cost of Home campaign, as it would work to invest in communities most in need and address our nation's historic low supply of affordable homes. Please email your members now to ask them to cosponsor the critical Neighborhood Homes Investment Act this congressional term so more communities can thrive.

Thank you for sending a letter to your members of Congress in support of the Neighborhood Homes Investment Act. Your support truly matters.
Together, we can help make the cost of home something we all can afford.
Your work doesn’t have to stop here. To make an even bigger impact, spread the word! Tell your network — staff, board members, volunteers, peers and family — why you support NHIA and revitalizing distressed communities, and encourage them to send a message as well. And share on social media with this sample post:
"A historic low supply of affordable homes is overburdening families across the U.S. to face extremely difficult choices, especially in communities long disinvested by housing discrimination. [I am/we are] supporting the #NeighborhoodHomes Investment Act with @Habitat_org so more families and communities can thrive. https://habitatforhumanityinternational.salsalabs.org/nhia2023publicemail"
We also encourage you to continue engaging your elected officials at home to let them know why revitalizing distressed neighborhoods will enable communities to thrive.
